In this hands-on workshop, you will explore the exciting world of Linocut Printmaking! Learn how to draw, transfer, carve and print your own design, leaving with your very own carved block and custom prints.
Instructor Sarah Bogdal will take you through a historical perspective of printmaking, relief and linocut, moving on to an in-depth look at materials, and finally guiding you through the process of successful carving and printing.
Students will leave with their own carved block, three custom prints created from the block, and resourceful materials distributed in the class for ongoing reference.

She earned her BFA from Watkins College of Art in 2018 and has since exhibited her work in 16 states, tabled at dozens of art markets across the Southeast, and regularly hosts workshops to recruit others into the cult that is print. Sarah's goal is for each print to lie just shy of disorienting—visually dense enough to require a second look, rewarding those who let themselves linger. Intermediate Silversmithing
** Silversmithing for Beginners is a pre-requisite to taking this class
Come back and learn how to make earrings and a necklace!
You will learn:
intermediate skills and techniques of silversmithing
how to make (and take home) pair of sterling silver earrings with either a post-back or earring wires
how to make (and take home) your very own sterling silver pendant necklace.
We will use torches and work with hot materials, so please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and wear your hair up, if necessary.
After class, you’ll go home with all of your new handmade sterling silver jewelry, a binder full of resources on suppliers, trouble shooting tips, and reference sheets for the skills you acquired in class, as well as access to Jenny’s online intermediate silversmithing course so you can refer back to video recorded content of the steps we cover in class.
Jenny is a full-time silversmith operating her jewelry business Sedona Rose Studio from her home in the hills outside of Nashville. You can check out her Instagram, as well.
She has taught silversmithing to hundreds of students in-person and online and many of them have gone on to create jewelry businesses of their own. She wants to share her love for this trade and the fulfillment it brings with as many people as possible.

You can take your project home to complete it on your sewing machine with unlimited phone assistance, you can purchase the class sewing machine and notions to take home to finish or you can leave it to be finished by our talented quilter. :D

In this introductory class, students will fashion their own classic belt from genuine leather.
Learn about the properties of vegetable tanned leather, leatherworking tools, basic principles of cutting and finishing, and how to install a removeable buckle.
You will also have the option to add decorative stamping of letters or shapes and/or decorative detailing with rivets and thread.
Beginner friendly. No prior experience with leatherworking needed.

Introduction to Metal Fabrication

In this class, students will learn how to fabricate an end table base out of mild steel from start to finish!
From learning how to read a drawing, to measuring, cutting, drilling, tapping, layout, clamping, welding, and blending - students will experience robust use of the metal shop with the following tools:

After this class, students will have a 24” x 18” base of an end table. Come take a class in our wood shop to learn how to make a top for it!

Mosaic Glass - Create Your Own Mini Vase

Introduction to Knife Forging workshop

** LEARN HOW TO FORGE A CHEF’S KNIFE AND TAKE IT HOME**
The Intro to Knife Forging class is a two day class.
9am-5pm, both days
Lunch is provided & beers to share after class!
In this Introduction to Knife Forging, we will focus on the fundamentals of what makes a great culinary knife. From steel type and heat treat to shaping and finishing techniques, we will set the student up with the basic knowledge and hands-on learning to get started in knife making. This is a forging class. Students will hammer, grind, and finish their blade before shaping and attaching their handle. We purposely designed this class with a maximum of 4 students so that you have dedicated one-on-one time with the instructor.
This two day, 16 hour class will consist of classroom as well as shop time. The student will walk home with an 8" Chef’s knife. Lunch at noon and beers/beverages after class will be provided.

Learn the art of Silversmithing!
Beginners welcome! In this class we will learn the core skills of silversmithing over the course of one fun-filled day.
You will learn:
foundational skills and techniques of silversmithing
how to make (and take home) a set of sterling silver stacking rings
how to make (and take home) your very own ring with a bezel set stone
We will use torches and work with hot materials, so please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and wear your hair up, if necessary.
After class, you’ll go home with all of your new handmade sterling silver jewelry, a binder full of resources on suppliers, trouble shooting tips, and reference sheets for the skills you acquired in class, as well as access to Jenny’s online beginner’s silversmithing course so you can refer back to video recorded content of the steps we cover in class.

In this Introduction to Knife Forging, we will focus on the fundamentals of what makes a great culinary knife. Silversmithing for Beginners
Learn the art of Silversmithing!
Beginners welcome! In this class we will learn the core skills of silversmithing over the course of one fun-filled day.
You will learn:
foundational skills and techniques of silversmithing
how to make (and take home) a set of sterling silver stacking rings
how to make (and take home) your very own ring with a bezel set stone
We will use torches and work with hot materials, so please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and wear your hair up, if necessary.
After class, you’ll go home with all of your new handmade sterling silver jewelry, a binder full of resources on suppliers, trouble shooting tips, and reference sheets for the skills you acquired in class, as well as access to Jenny’s online beginner’s silversmithing course so you can refer back to video recorded content of the steps we cover in class.
Jenny is a full-time silversmith operating her jewelry business Sedona Rose Studio from her home in the hills outside of Nashville. You can check out her Instagram, as well.

From learning how to read a drawing, to measuring, cutting, drilling, tapping, layout, clamping, welding, and blending - students will experience robust use of the metal shop with the following tools:

Continue your intensive practice into the art of wood turning with Jared Moran of Wildland Woodworks! We will utilize previously acquired skills to master an advanced fruit bowl, which students will take home after sanding and sealing. The finished bowl is 11”-13” in diameter, twice the size of our beginner bowl turning workshop!

Beginners welcome! In this class we will learn the core skills of silversmithing over the course of one fun-filled day.

We will use torches and work with hot materials, so please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and wear your hair up, if necessary.

Introduction to Metal Fabrication

In this class, students will learn how to fabricate an end table base out of mild steel from start to finish!
From learning how to read a drawing, to measuring, cutting, drilling, tapping, layout, clamping, welding, and blending - students will experience robust use of the metal shop with the following tools:

angle grinder and cut off wheel

After this class, students will have a 24” x 18” base of an end table. Come take a class in our wood shop to learn how to make a top for it!

About the Instructor:
Fiber artist Jennifer Fleischer is the owner and founder of Ibu Textiles, a line of woven products created in Nashville, TN. She designs and weaves each unique piece by hand. With the use of floor and frame looms, she blends traditional and experimental techniques. Her current work exhibits a strong design aesthetic inspired by Jennifer’s experiences seeking peace and calm in an urban environment. Traveling plays a vital role in her inspiration as well, as the brand’s name itself, Ibu, means ‘Mother’ in Indonesian. Originally from New York, Jennifer happily calls Nashville home with her husband, Nate, multiple plants and more yarn than she knows what to do with. Introduction to Wood Turning - Bud Vase

Begin your introduction into the art of wood turning with Jared Moran of Wildland Woodworks!
We will cover the basics of the lathe, lathe tools and accessories. We will start with a discussion of various holding techniques and proper form for safety. Students will practice these new skills by turning a bud vase on the lathe which they will take home after sanding and sealing.
The maximum number of students is three, so that each student receives one on one instruction, each on their own dedicated lathe.

Beginner's Introduction to Crochet

Learn the fundamentals of crochet by creating your own dishcloth! We will discuss the basic principles of hooks and yarn, abbreviations for basic stitches, how to hold and tension the yarn, as well as levels of skill.
Together, we will work some practice stitches, getting a good start towards completing a dishcloth within the class time.

Each student will get hands-on practice with their own welder, and leave with a small finished project. All materials and PPE will be provided. 4 students max. This class is a pre-requisite for Metal Fabrication 1 and 2.

Laser 101
**Intro to Adobe Illustrator is a required prerequisite class for Laser 101**
After learning how to successfully create a vector file in Adobe Illustrator, this class will teach you how to operate the laser (36” x 52” bed) and start creating!
Build Your Own Keepsake Box: Part 3
This is a 3 part class. You must purchase Part 1 and register for
Parts 2 and 3 (free).
To finish your box, you should attend all class times.
During this introductory woodworking class, each student will produce a custom keepsake box with a lid, measuring roughly 9"L x 6"W x 4"H. Each project produced will be unique to each student. Basic machining, construction, wood joinery, and wood finishing techniques will all be taught as a part of this class. Students will have the ability to choose the wood species/grain of their boxes from a wide selection. Students will learn to cut, assemble, and glue a mitered box with splines on each corner. After glued components have cured, students will be taught how to construct the lid of the box. In the final session, students will learn how to “finish the finish” and go home with their beautiful box to cherish for years to come. As part of this class, students will have basic instruction and experience on:
