Traditional Mortise and Tenon Joinery With Power Tools

$110.00

Intermediate Level

This class will be a hands-on introduction to one of the stronger traditional woodworking joints, the mortise and tenon joint. This class will not spend any time on the Festool Domino joinery system. The class will focus on learning how to produce tight-fitting mortise and tenon joinery, using the table saw and hollow chisel mortiser. This is not a project-based class, so there will be no 'product' here, other than a sample joint (or two, if time allows). The focus for this class will largely be on technique. Students taking this class should have some experience on, and be comfortable with, the table saw.

Class will be taught by our Director of Woodshop, David Amundson, a ‘reformed architect’ with 20+ years of experience in teaching the joys of woodworking while making sure that all students’ digits stay attached!

** Classes are transferable up to 48 hours before class, but not refundable.
