Level: Beginner

Age Requirement: 14+ Years (Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian who is also enrolled in the class. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian to sign a waiver on their behalf before class begins).
Intro to MIG Welding will be an intensive tool and process orientation class on the MIG welder. Students will learn how to safely weld mild steel stock, multiple joint styles, and walk away with a steel pen holder project.
Each student will get hands-on practice, each with a dedicated welder, and leave with a small finished project. All materials and PPE will be provided. This class is a pre-requisite for all other classes in our metalworking category.

Prerequisite: Intro to MIG Welding, or prior outside MIG welding experience. Please do not enroll if you do not meet these requirements.
Approx. Duration: 4.5 Hours
Class Enrollment Closure & Minimum: Enrollment closes 3 days prior to date of class. Any last minute enrollments must be approved prior to sign up. This class is subject to a minimum enrollment requirement set by the instructor. Please note that any session may be rescheduled or cancelled if not enough students are enrolled.

hand tools for metal forming
tack welding with the MIG welder
angle grinder
how the plasma table works

With a background in construction, Ethan brings creativity, precision, and a love of problem-solving to every project from architectural fabrication and metal art work to custom vehicle builds. His work reflects his passion for turning imagination into something tangible. Away from the shop, Ethan and his wife, Ryleigh, spend their free time offroad racing, scuba diving, and exploring other adventures alongside their two dogs, Violet and Bandit.

Approx. Duration: 5 Hours (w/ half hour lunch break included)

Learn the incredible art of silversmithing, and take home your very own sterling jewelry!
In this fun, beginner friendly class, you will learn and practice the core skills of silversmithing. All the tools and materials you need will be provided in the class.
You will learn:
Foundational skills and techniques of silversmithing
How to make (and take home) a set of sterling silver stacking rings
How to make (and take home) your very own ring with a bezel set stone
You will be introduced to important techniques and tools, including torches to heat the metal.
After class, you’ll go home with all of your new handmade sterling silver jewelry, a packet full of resources on suppliers, trouble shooting tips, and reference sheets for the skills you acquired in class, as well as access to Jenny’s online beginner’s silversmithing course so you can refer back to video recorded content of the steps we cover in class.
Plan ahead for your class:
Be sure and wear closed toed shoes, long pants and tie your long hair up.
There will be a short break for lunch, which your instructor will give you a 30 minute notice for. Please bring something to eat that does not require heating, or plan to have your lunch delivered for the time advised by your instructor.

She has taught silversmithing to hundreds of students in-person and online, many of whom have gone on to create jewelry businesses of their own. She wants to share her love for this trade and the fulfillment it brings with as many people as possible.
