Join us to learn how to machine quilt by creating a quilted hot pad! In this class, we will discuss the basics of quilting, while you begin your project and either finish in class, or take home to complete with instructor assistance via a phone meeting.
Together we will work some practice stitches, review how to sew, how to select and rotary cut fabric, parts of the fabric, sewing machine safety and operation, how to quilt with the sewing machine, and how to hand sew a quilt binding.

About the Instructor:
Kim Wienzierl is the founder of Creative Nashville which offers classes in fiber arts and stained glass. Her mission is to keep these arts alive so others can enjoy them as much as she has over the decades. She is an Information Technology and Data professional by day but enjoys getting beginners started with skills in Stained Glass and Fiber Arts.
