Level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: CNC 101

Approx. Duration: 2.5 Hours

Instructor: Mitchell Green

Please make sure you have already taken the required prerequisite of CNC 101.

CNC201 focuses on developing safe and confident operation of the Camaster Stinger IV 4x8 CNC router. The primary goal of this class is learning how to operate the machine safely and efficiently rather than designing or creating complex artwork.

Students will learn how to use the automatic toolchanger, understand correct toolpath setup, and generate toolpaths in VCarve Pro that are compatible with the toolchanger workflow. Instruction will emphasize machine setup, tool management, and operational safety.

Please note that this course will not focus heavily on drawing or design work within VCarve. Instead, the class is centered on hands-on machine operation, workflow understanding, and building confidence using the CNC router in a shop environment.

All class enrollments are subject to a no-refund, no-trasfer policy. By purchasing a class, or gifting a class, you are agreeing to our policy. Please read the full FAQ and policy here: https://www.theforgenashville.org/class-policy-and-faq
