Bring your new silversmithing skills to the next level! As an intermediate level silversmith, you will learn to make a pair of earrings and a necklace. Apply your base of knowledge while experimenting with new techniques and design elements.
You will learn:
Intermediate skills and techniques of silversmithing
How to make (and take home) a pair of sterling silver earrings with either a post-back or earring wires
How to make (and take home) your very own sterling silver pendant necklace
We will use torches and work with hot materials, so please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and tie your hair up, if necessary.
After class, you’ll go home with all of your new handmade sterling silver jewelry, a binder full of resources on suppliers, troubleshooting tips, and reference sheets for the skills you acquired in class, as well as access to Jenny’s online intermediate silversmithing course so you can refer back to video recorded content of the steps we cover in class.
All tools, materials and PPE are included in the class fee.
All class enrollments are subject to a no-refund, no-trasfer policy. By purchasing a class, or gifting a class, you are agreeing to our policy. Please read the full FAQ and policy here: https://www.theforgenashville.org/class-policy-and-faq
