This class will introduce students to the table saw, a versatile machine in any woodworking shop. Gain hands-on experience with the machine and try out various techniques to gather a well-rounded understanding of its use.
There is no project for this class, but students will gather practical and fundamental skills and knowledge that can be applied to any woodworking project:
Table saw safety
Blade choices
Basic cutting operations
Basic jigs to use
Ways to improve cut quality
Use of stack dado blades

As The Forge Nashville’s Wood Shop Director, David Amundson strives to create a culture of safety, creativity, and excellence in craft. He is former licensed architect with over 20 years experience in teaching the joys of woodworking, while also implementing best practices in shop safety.
